Organic California poppy herb, in Latin called Eschscholzia californica, is the official flower of California. Its brilliant orange cup shaped flowers and long stalks are adapted to the western arid environments, where for thousands of years the poppy has been used by the Yokut and Pima Indians. It has been used as a sedative and hypnotic for children, where there is over-excitability and sleeplessness. It can be used wherever an anti-spasmodic remedy is required.
